THE PROGRAMME FOR 2012

 

 

 Meetings are held in the Village Hall

January 14th (Sat)       2.00pm Illustrated Talk, Stress Free Gardening,
                           Mrs Julie Walsh-Battery.


February 11th (Sat)     2.00pm  Illustrated Talk: A Seasonal View,  
                 Paul Sturgess.


Early March                        Judging the most attractive Spring Garden

 
March 21st (Wed)       7.30pm Illustrated Talk: More in Depth Introduction to Beekeeping,

                    Lucy Frost.

March 31st (Sat)          2.00pm Spring Flowers and Produce Show in Village Hall.

 

May 12th (Sat)             8.30am    Plant sale, opposite Tesco, Brookley Rd

 

May 16th (Wed)          7.30pm Demonstration: Container Gardening, Hanging Baskets.

June 20th (Wed)          7.30pm Illustrated Talk: Gardens Great & Small,
                                       Mr J Love.

July 12th (Thurs) Coach Trip to Kew Gardens

Mid July Judging the best Vegetable Garden/Allotment and Patio Container Competition.

August 4th  (Sat)  2.00pm Summer Flowers and Vegetables Show in Village Hall.

September 19th(Wed)  7.30pm Illustrated Talk: The Eden Project,
                                                    Mr Douglas Patterson.

October 17th (Wed)    7.30pm Illustrated talk: It’s a Plant, it Eats Meat/ The World of Carnivorous Plants,
                                                                Bryan J Pinchen.                  

November 10th (Sat)   2.00pm   AGM followed by an illustrated talk: Sir Harold Hillier Gardens,
                                                     Irene Bowron.
