SHOW REGULATIONS

GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR SHOWS

1. Schedules are based on the latest RHS Horticultural Show Handbook, the NFWI Handbook for Exhibitors,

Judges and Show Committees, and the latest edition of the NAFAS Competitions Manual.

Copies of these Handbooks are held by the Honorary Show

Secretary, and exhibitors are urged to consult the Handbooks if in doubt about the requirements of any class.

2. Individual exhibitors must be members of the Association, or non-members living within four miles of Brockenhurst.

3. Only one entry per class will be accepted from any exhibitor.

4. Entry cards will be provided for each exhibit and must be placed face downwards with the exhibit.

5. In awarding prizes, the decisions of the judges will be final.

6. Judges may withhold prizes if they consider exhibits below standard.

7. Points for the award of trophies will be: 1st - 3; 2nd - 2; and 3rd - 1.

8. Trophies will be held by the winners for one year.

9. Exhibitors should state plant names on a label with exhibit, where known.

10. The term "vase" means a plain container having greater height than the width of its mouth.

11. Exhibitors should remove their exhibits at the end of the shows together with any packing

material and waste.

12. The Committee do not hold themselves responsible for the damage to or loss of exhibits which are shown entirely at the owner’s risk.
